Parking at St Louis International Airport

There are several options for parking at STL, including two parking garages. The parking garages are located in front of each terminal. There is also a parking lot near Terminal 2 and 4 parking lots near Terminal 1. A complimentary shuttle provides transfer between the lots and the terminals with a frequency of every 8-15 minutes. Accessible parking is available in several different locations and in most alternatives.

Transfers at St Louis International Airport

Terminal Shuttles – STL Airport provides a complimentary shuttle bus service for travelers’ convenient transfer between terminals, parking lots and the Bus Port. Shuttles depart from outside Exit Doors 12 of both terminals with a frequency of approximately every 8-15 minutes.

Rental Cars – The various rental car companies at St. Louis International Airport are not located in the terminal buildings, but in other locations. Rented vehicles should be returned to the specific company’s location. Complimentary shuttles are provided for the transfer between the car rental company’s facility and the airport’s two terminals.

BusesGreyhound buses are a way to transfer to the airport from central St Louis, when there are departures going that way. The Greyhound station in St Louis is fairly centrally located at the Gateway Transportation Center where the Amtrak station is also found. At the airport the buses stop at the Bus Port which connects with the terminals through the Terminal Shuttles and with Terminal 1 via a tunnel.

Hotel Shuttles – Some hotels provide a shuttle service to their guests for their convenient transfer to the airport. These are organized by the hotel and requested by the traveler. Not all hotels offer the service.

Taxis – The journey with a taxi from central St Louis to the airport will take around 35 minutes and cost around $50, depending on traffic.

RideShares – To request a transfer with a rideshare company, please order it through the company’s app or website.

Light Rail – The MetroLink light rail system is a convenient way to transfer to the airport as it stops at both terminals. Tickets are purchased at the departing station, the journey to the airport from central St Louis takes around 35 minutes and will cost a few $. The MetroLink system extends to several St Louis County municipalities in Missouri as well as to Monroe and St Clair counties in Illinois. Amtrak – An Amtrak station is located at the Gateway Transportation Center in central St Louis, where the Greyhound bus station is also found.

Wheelchair Assistance at St Louis International Airport

Wheelchair assistance is requested through the airline in question at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

Smoking at St Louis International Airport

It is not allowed to smoke inside STL. There are dedicated smoking areas located at least 15 ft/4.5 m from any entrances outside the terminals

WiFi at St Louis International Airport

STL Airport provides 60 minutes of free WiFi access to all travelers and visitors at the airport through the services of Boingo. More services and longer surfing time can be purchased through their website.

Luggage Carts at St Louis International Airport

Luggage carts can be found along Departures Drive at Terminal 1 and cost $5 per cart to rent. Carts can also be found in both terminals’ baggage claim area.

Banking and Currency Exchange Services at St Louis International Airport

US Bank customers have access to both banking services and currency exchange services at the airport. Their offices are found in Terminal 1, near the security checkpoint for C Gates. Currency exchange can be available for non-customers as well. For more information visit the US Bank website.
